“ The food is excellent. My friends and I had the bacon tots and I had Smithwicks. Excellent customer service. The bartenders were Irish that was cool. This is the oldest Irish bar in Boston. The area, though, yikes! Just lock your doors. Otherwise, great bar. I would return next time I'm in Massachusetts. ”
“ Stopped in for a bite to eat earlier in the day. I had about 45 minutes to spare and had great steak tips, mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was great! Service was outstanding too and very welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone. ”
“ If you're gonna visit Boston, put JJ's on your to-do list. It's owned by the same family-five gens!-since 1909. It's got great personality, the staff is awesome and the food will surprise you- pleasantly! After having clam chowder in several different places this week, JJ's was the best. Yeah, I wasn't expecting that either! And if you order fries, get a side of the curry! Then finish it off with the banoffee pie! See Tony! He'll take good care of you! ”
“ Awesome neighbourhood pub. The staff works as a team, casual service, lots of seating - great food and drinks! Would pop in here again if back in town, felt very welcoming. ”
“ Stopped here for a short while for drinks and apps on a hot summer afternoon. This place was so nice and comfortable. We were greeted very warmly. Also, we were in a rush because we had to go to a show nearby, but the apps and drinks were ready in less than 5 mins. I loved my slane whiskey iced tea cocktail, my bf loved his Guinness and we enjoyed our loaded nachos. Will visit again when in the area! ”
“ This is our favorite local place, it feels like home when you walk in. Even when it's jammed, the service is on point and no long waits for a waiter/waitress. Food is always good and the beer is cold. Thanks! ”
“ Spent the day visiting historical sites and pubs. This was by far the best pub along my journey. It is still family run (going on 5th Gen) and extremely friendly and inviting. Prices are good, beer is cold, and atmosphere is great. A little out of the way, but well worth the trip! ”
“ Met Jeremiah, the 4th Gen owner. He was awesome. This place is awesome. The food is awesome. The Guinness is awesome. Come to this place. It's awesome. ”
